How a North Port remodel runs with us

  1. Free in-home consultation. We visit your home, with no trip fee.
  2. Written estimate. Every job is quoted after an on-site visit. The price does not change without your written approval.
  3. Permits. We pull every required permit and meet Florida Building Code inspections.
  4. The work. Plumbing and electrical are done by licensed trade partners that we manage and coordinate. One licensed contractor runs the whole job.
  5. Warranty. We give a written workmanship warranty and pass through manufacturer warranties.

What a North Port permit looks like

The City of North Port takes building permit applications through its Accela Citizen Access portal. Development Services answers questions at (941) 429-7044. The City page we read did not list review times, fees or the code edition in use, so we do not quote any. A 2026 state law, HB 803, also changed some permit rules, and North Port's page describes exemptions for some single-family work, with exceptions that include electrical, plumbing and flood hazard areas. Our North Port permits guide has the details and the questions to ask.

Do not skip a permit because of an exemption you read about online. Call Development Services at (941) 429-7044 and ask about your exact job.

Storm repairs

A Yahoo News report from October 2022 said Hurricane Ian made a direct hit on North Port. If your home has storm damage, our home restoration work covers drywall, framing and finish work. We document the damage and coordinate the construction scope with your insurance adjuster, then rebuild to code. We do not negotiate the claim. That is between you and your insurer. Our storm damage repair steps guide shows the order of work.

What we do not do

Knowing our limits up front saves you time.

  • We do not offer financing. Homeowners use their own bank, HELOC or refinance.
  • We do not run promotions or discounts.
  • We do not offer emergency or after-hours service. We are open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and closed weekends.
  • We do not do the plumbing or electrical ourselves. Licensed trade partners that we manage do.
  • If you live in an HOA, you file the HOA application and we provide the specs and drawings.

Questions to ask any remodeling contractor in North Port

Whoever you hire, ask these before you sign. They apply to us too.

  1. What is your Florida license number, and can I verify it? You can look up any Florida contractor by name or number at myfloridalicense.com.
  2. Who pulls the permit, and who schedules the inspections?
  3. Who does the plumbing and electrical work, and are they licensed?
  4. Is the price written down, and what happens if the scope changes? Ask how a change is approved.
  5. What warranty do I get in writing?

Our guide to questions to ask a remodeling contractor goes deeper, and how to check a Florida contractor license shows the lookup steps.
